General Implants GmbH Deutschland
GI’s initial focus was on developing a self-cutting screw implant. The “Easy Cut” system that GI eventually developed was based on the „SchuKu“ screw. The development team consisted of experienced, practicing implantologists and internationally renowned implant manufacturers. All of the Easy Cut system‘s features were tested and assessed in practical application during the development phase, which took surgical, prosthetic as well as technical laboratory aspects into account. Thanks to the direct link with implant manufacturers, it has been possible to identify any potential weaknesses in the system and take corrective action promptly. The result of this user-oriented development strategy is a practical approach to the entire implant system that is unparalleled in the industry.
Universal applications
The Easy Fast conical screw implant is GI‘s standard implant. Available in lengths of 8.5mm, 10 mm, 11.5mm, 13mm and 15mm, with diameters of 3.8mm, 4,3mm, 5mm and 6mm, this implant caters to most indications. Easy Cut is used where there is a low horizontal bone available, e.g., in the front lower jaw, where a narrow implant diameter is called for. The 3mm diameter, 14mm, 16mm, 18mm and 20mm lengths, as well as the precise, self-cutting cylindrical grinding screw thread mean this type of implant can be used universally. GI’s innovative implant, Infos, was developed for special indications where the aesthetic requirements are high. The advantage of zirconium dioxide ceramics—compared with titanium ceramics—is that they are white. As such, they make it possible to achieve unique „red-white aesthetics“. The mechanical strength of zirconium dioxide ceramics is comparable to titanium. implant developments made from aluminium oxide ceramics (e.g., Schulte’s “Tübinger Sofortimplantat” immediate implant) in the 1960s and 1970s had their crucial weakness in this area. A fl exural strength of 1200 MPa for zirconium dioxide ceramics guarantees excellent breaking strength under clinical loads. Infos, made of zirconium dioxide ceramics, is specifi cally designed for patients seeking implant products that are completely metal-free. A further benefit of zirconium dioxide ceramics is their extremely high biocompatibility and very low rate of plaque build-up. These properties offer excellent results in terms of speeding up healing times and reducing post-operative complications and perimplant gingival conditions.
Flexibility and customer focus
Thanks to its unique warehousing and logistics strategy, General implants has the capacity to implement system improvements quickly after they have been successfully tested. GI also has the ability to design products that meet user-specific requirements, thereby ensuring that the company continually offers personalized, flexible and highly customer-focused solutions.
State-of-the-art science
GI‘s implant systems were developed using the latest scientific data available. As such, the design of these systems draws on state-of-the-art technology in terms of materials, geometry, sizing and surfaces.
Innovation
GI has been engaged in the research and production of all-ceramic zirconium dioxide implants since its founding. In this endeavour, the company has kept pace with the rising demand for implantology as well as the rising demand of patients seeking metal-free implants. Metal-free implants represent the most innovative field of implantological research at the present time, and GI has been at the forefront of the field. In 2001, the company introduced the fi rst single-part implant system designed for clinical use. After years of laboratory and clinical trials, the product received certification under the name Easy Kon“. GI is therefore among the few implant companies worldwide able to
offer a CE-certifi ed clinical system of implants made from zirconium dioxide ceramics.
Highest quality standards
All of GI‘s products, which are manufactured by accredited companies only, conform to ISO standard 9000. This means that all manufacturing processes undergo stringent controls, thereby providing implantologists as well as patients with maximum safety when using GI systems.
Enhanced efficiency… and profitability
Whether in the operating theatre, in sterilisation procedures, in the lab or in the dentist‘s chair, the presence of a vast array of implant systems, operating trays, prostheses and other instruments can lead to confusion. GI‘s unified system of implants, which caters to virtually all indications in dental implantology, ensures that dental professionals have the possibility of using a single system in their clinic or practice. This means the entire treatment team can concentrate on one system, and so avoid mix-ups and application errors. In addition, implant stockholding can be reduced significantly. As a result, overall clarity is improved, the work of staff is made easier and effi ciency is increased - all of which can contribute to making implantology more profitable.
